About Us
A holistic path for body and mind – a path on which we arrive, and yet continue to grow.
Who We Are
The Shaolin arts have accompanied us for several decades, both through our personal practice and our teaching. For us, they are a path on which we rediscover an inner home each day – one that supports and carries us. We teach a grounded, well-founded approach based on ancient teachings, helping us to remain clear, kind, and centered with ourselves and others in everyday life.
We have been a couple since our school days and are therefore a well-attuned team. Alongside our passion for the Shaolin arts, we lead workshops and offer guidance to individuals and organizations in the field of nonviolent communication (redenistsilber.ch). (redenistsilber.ch).

When the space of infinity opens, nothing remains and yet everything has its place.
Dominik (Shi Yong Dao)
Dominik’s enthusiasm for Shaolin reaches back to his earliest years. As a child, he already began practicing martial arts. During his youth, he started training traditional Shaolin Kung Fu under his teacher Shi Xing Long at the Shaolin Chan Temple Switzerland. This also became his Chan lineage of meditation. The quiet practice has accompanied him daily ever since, and throughout his life he has appreciated contact with teachers and practitioners from various traditions. At the age of 18, he traveled to Shaolin for the first time to meet his Grandmaster, whom he continues to visit annually. In his early twenties, he lived for one year at the Shaolin Chan Temple Switzerland – an experience that deeply shaped him. Dominik achieved national and international tournament victories and podium placements and worked as a coach in various disciplines (including Shaolin Kung Fu, Sanda full-contact, and Taijiquan). He looks back on more than 15 years of teaching experience. Shaolin Chan Tempel Schweiz.
One traditionally receives their Chinese name from their master. ‘Dao’ means ‘the Way’. Shi Yong Dao is the name he received through his Shaolin lineage. Through the Fo Quang Temple, he also took the Bodhisattva vow and received the name Shi Miao Dao. For Shi Yong Dao, the Shaolin arts are a profound path toward living a contented life in harmony with oneself and the environment. He wishes to guide others on this path as well.

Helen

Helen began her meditation practice in her teenage years. Around ten years ago, she started practicing the Shaolin arts – Shaolin Kung Fu and Qi Gong – and later additional disciplines such as Sanda and Taijiquan at the Shaolin Chan Temple Switzerland. Although she once considered herself ‘not athletic’, through the Shaolin practice she rediscovered her love for movement.
Alongside her Shaolin arts training, since 2022 she has taken weekly one-on-one lessons in Alexander Technique with former professional ballet soloist and pedagogue Martine Giaconi to refine her body awareness. She is also completing a three-year training in Spiraldynamik.
Helen is especially fascinated by approaches that allow deeper embodiment – learning to feel the body more clearly, understanding it better, and training in a way that protects it. She therefore enjoys helping others develop everyday practice programs, including strength and stretching routines, to support a healthy connection with their bodies.
In addition to her teaching activities, Helen is the driving force behind everything related to technology, design, and organization at Shaolin Chan Arts.
