Chan Mentoring

Mindfulness-based guidance rooted in the principles of Chan

Meditation & Everyday Practice

At times, we face challenging situations – for example, when important decisions need to be made, when dealing with emotions or when setting personal goals. Buddhist mentoring creates a space in which inner clarity becomes possible.

Sessions are held online and combine meditation, dialogue, and practical impulses for everyday life. Often, a guided meditation introduces the process. What emerges serves as a starting point for taking a closer look and opening up new perspectives.

The approach assumes less that answers must come from outside. Everything essential is already present within each person. The aim of the mentoring is to foster a process in which clarity and insight arise from one's own experience, supported by targeted questions and impulses.

Chan is not about getting somewhere, but about being somewhere. Being. With what is.

Chan Mentoring

A Chan mentoring session revolves around individual life themes and may focus on various areas:

Possible areas of focus

  • Inner and outer challenges
  • A space for reflection when important decisions arise
  • Working with conflicts and emotions
  • Transforming destructive thought patterns
  • Cultivating specific mental qualities
  • Mindfulness practice & meditation
  • Integrating insights into daily life
  • Personal goals & life orientation

Initial Meeting

We begin with a short, non-binding conversation (approx. 10 minutes) via phone or Zoom. It offers a space to get to know each other, clarify questions, and get a sense of whether the work together feels suitable. Often, first impulses arise even during this brief exchange, setting the direction for the process ahead.
