Three Days of Shaolin Practice

The summer camp offers a framework to step out of everyday life for three days and immerse yourself together in the Shaolin arts.

In the nature of the Basel Jura, we combine Shaolin Kung Fu, Qi Gong, Taijiquan, Chan meditation, and philosophy into a varied programme. Powerful movement and quiet practice alternate, as do shared training sessions, personal deepening, and rest.

As always, we give plenty of space to physical practice: Kung Fu, partner exercises, and applications form an important focus. Whenever the weather allows, we also train outdoors in nature. At the same time, Qi Gong, Taijiquan, meditation, and philosophical impulses are equally part of these three days.

The content is adapted to different levels of experience and ability. You can therefore take part whether you have been practising for a longer time or are just getting to know the Shaolin arts.

Shared meals, free time in nature, and evenings together round off the days.

This retreat is ideal for you if…

… you have practised Kung Fu for a long time or would like to begin.
… you enjoy a mix of the different Shaolin arts.
… you would like to immerse yourself intensively in practice for three days.

Closing

On Sunday we use the full day again for our shared practice. After lunch follows a final training block. The summer camp ends around 17:00.

Location & accommodation

The seminar house is situated at around 920 m above sea level above Langenbruck in the Basel Jura, surrounded by forests, meadows, and Jura cliffs.

The generous outdoor areas offer plenty of space for our practice in nature. At the same time, a large, bright training room is available, so we can practise indoors and outdoors regardless of the weather.

The house is run by a community and has a personal, uncomplicated character. Between training sessions there is time for walks, exchange, solitude, or simply a pause in nature.

The accommodation also fits the communal character of our summer camp. The rooms have their own washbasin. Showers and toilets are outside the rooms and are shared.

We are also looked after culinary: our meals are freshly prepared vegetarian for the group.
