A Unique Art of Close Combat

The wooden dummy form is a milestone for many Shaolin practitioners. It refines skills from other disciplines with techniques practiced and applied in close-range situations. It forms a holistic system with philosophical foundations and trains precision, structure, and timing.

This workshop is open to both beginners and practitioners already familiar with the wooden dummy form. Beginners will focus on learning the basic techniques and — if desired — initial applications, while advanced practitioners can focus on repetition, refinement, and application.

What do we do?

Learning the techniques of the wooden dummy form step by step

Applying close-range combat principles on the wooden dummy

Individual corrections, repetition, and refinement

Shared practice and exchange in a small group
